Here is our second time looking at big questions. Remember I want you to take a minute to answer honestly to yourself and if you're brave in a comment.
Warning: Today will make you think a bit outside of the box (well for some of you).
Question: If you found out today that aliens (extra terrestrials, outer space creatures, extras in Will Smith movies) truly existed, how would that affect your faith?
I'm really looking forward to hearing your responses, feel free to take a few minutes or hours to think about it before throwing down a response.
I would like to think it wouldn't.
ReplyDeleteIt wouldn't affect my faith, doctrinally speaking. But my perception of God and his power would be challenged. I think of how God created the heavens and the earth and I am more than impressed - i believe I would be even more in awe to find that even the heavens and earth were so much bigger than I thought (not that i can comprehend its glory to begin with).
ReplyDeleteThe universe being as large and as old as it is the probability of life occurring somewhere other than earth is really very good. Whether or not this would be a sort of life which we would recognize as intelligent is another question entirely.
ReplyDeleteThrough Christ all of nature has been reconciled to God (Collosians 1:20), little green men included.
Follow up question: what if the little men are orange?
ReplyDeleteParadigm Shattered.
